just been for a walk along the tow path at Trent lock and although the canal is very weedy there were some very nice carp cruising about, they even seemed to move towards us as we stood and watched!

I used to fish that stretch as a kid.
Brought back some very nice memories when I thought about.
Might give it a shot next time I'm back in the East Midlands.
