i wouldnt mok too much until uve tried it. im not saying all there stuff is great, as i can only comment on the seatbox.
but the box is as good, if not better quality than alot of other boxes ive seen, and its probably less than half the price too.
reels, poles, etc i wouldnt touch with a bargepole (ive felt there "flagship" pole and its like a iron bar). but cheap/crap poles doesnt mean the rest of the stuff is bad.
i think u can save money by buying there stuff, you just have to be clever about what things you do buy. |

Avanti pole is decent to about 12m, which should do most people. So not bad for the price.
I recall the pole I had when I was about 12 years old. I'd have the Avanti every day of the week over that pole, but I still caught very well those years ago. A poo pole these days is still Alien technology away from what I used as a kid. |

I have 3 of their rods, all bought for a purpose, and cost me 70 quid for the 3..........they fit nicely alongside my more expensive preston, browning, and diawa rods and have caught me a lot of fish in swims to snaggy to fish with my decent gear.
Cheap gear deffo has a place in angling.....even in the matchmans armoury. But, like everything in life, you have a choice....either buy it, or leave it alone |

i'v got an 11m avanti pole which came with three top kits and cost me £65 new. its great for margin work, and for fishing on the canal where theres loads of towpath traffic. Its just about ok to 9m but sags something terrible at 11m - very floppy.
I've got a Maver for use on club lakes and commercials
Horses for courses - my avanti has served me well for a few years now and would buy another if/when someone stands on or rides over this one. |

| for the budget angler i think avanti is brill and gets bad press, ive had 4 seatbox's in my time and think my avanti is best. i know its cheaper gear ive had some had problems but ive also had high end gear break, i like match fishing and even though i dont have the top in all my areas of tackle i have had many fish, i have never used an avanti pole which i have heard bad reviews of but i dont really have many complaints with the rest of my avanti bits apart from one roller ive pruchased being ****. |

| How can it be brill when it drops to bits after you have used it a few times and then you have to go out and buy things again. |

Have to admit to buying an avanti barbel rod for £20.00. Over a yr ago now Once I pluck up the courage to give it a go I'll give a truthful opinion. |
