Three of us stayed at Eye Kettleby for a long weekend last week. Thoroughly recommend the accommodation etc and the fishing wasn't bad either considering the weather wasn't fantastic.

Had the first afternoon on Lake 7 and we all had around 30lb of fish - mainly carp and skimmers but also the odd tench and one chub of 2lb. Lots of small carp in this lake in the 6 - 8oz bracket.

The following morning we fished Lake 2. We stayed for about 3 hours and only had one fish each - all about 3 1/2lb (carp). Didn't particularly enjoy this lake as nothing really to fish to and a bit open. In the afternoon we fished Lake 5. Was surprised at how deep this lake is. We all caught Carp and skimmers and had about 25lb each. Biggest carp was 9lb.

On the final day we were going to fish Lake 4 and one of us wanted to go back on 5 but we settled on 7 again - hard trying to please everyone ! Anyway, another reasonable day and best fish was a perch of exactly 3lb, taken at the end of the day.

Will definitely go back here.

Fished here a few weeks ago, though I'm not a big fan of commercials. Fished pond 2 & had a few skimmers & Roach and a Bream at about 2lb. Was there all afternoon, never saw a bailiff & so it was free fishing

She normally comes around twice a day on a quad bike, if you fished in a peg someone had fished earlier, she does not bother you! This has happened to me a few times! Lake 2 is the carp lake!! Try lake 3 to 6 for some great mixed sport, most things work! Drop me a pm if you require any further info!

Had another look using Google Earth & it was lake3, not lake 2! I was fishing near the bridge where the lake goes from narrow to wide.
I spoke to a guy fishing right on the end of the narrow part, he said set up & fish and somebody would come on a buggy & sell a ticket & probably sell me a bacon sandwich. I did enjoy fishing it, I must say
