Sat 24th June at the Gold Valley Fisheries Angling Trust Anglers with Disabilites Championship took place 20 disabled anglers took part.
Results
1st Mark Eves, Maidenhead, 85lb 4oz
Jt 2nd Dave Brent, Reading & Steve Parker, Newcastle under Lyme, 53lb 0oz
4th Christopher Tea, Chigwell, 46lb 2oz
5th Theresa Lewis, Putton, 32lb 5oz
6th Paul Chudyk, Godalming, 31lb 9oz
Section Winners; Mark Eves and Steve Parker.

Poor turn out though should keep it in the Midlands central.

Agree with you there John, if you can see it why can't the Angling Trust?
Or is it a case that you being Disabled you have better insight and knowledge than the able bodied who arrange and set these matches up.

I was there as an able bodied helper to a mate. I must admit that the governing body representation was a little thin on the ground ie organiser Andre & Terry Fell only! I ended up helping with the weigh in just to speed it up a bit. As as far as location I thought it was ideal with concrete paths & pegs to fish from. I also heard that the venue was voted on to be there so nobody can really moan about that, made a nice change for the southern lads not to have to make a journey. Fishing could have been a bit better but that's fishing.
