This morning, quiver fishing on my secret spot...

Heavy rig: hook size 12(!) colmic nk 800 , 3 maggots,...heavy reel : shimano 2500 exage RC.
I will get 3 nice roaches (between 250 et 400g), which is already not bad for the place.
Then a nice bite, some fight,...not ez to catch from up

A barbel of 2,7kg,I think fishing is over!

Well,...no...A bit later a big hit and with fighting brake full on, I still lose 40m line.

And 20 minutes later, after a good fight this nice carp.

Does not look that big from the front

But on the side, and when you weigh her, she is nearly 17kg

That's it, fishing is over, too tired, back gently in the water after the photo finish

Well done lucc

I know that peg I was lucky enough to practice on that section for the 2001 world championship in Paris, we struggled to get bites, let alone fish

The carp looks like an old warrior

Keep the reports coming

Cheers

Paul

Nice fish

I like the set up as well for holding the rod, similar to the pod style I use on rivers but mounted on a seat box

Fantastic fish.

I seem to recall someone fishing for carp there before and landing some monsters on the pole. There's probably some footage on youtube somewhere.
