Hi all, I had a few hours down my weedy local after work. Fishing my usual feeder set ups with a method feeder, 10mm source boilie with 10mm scopex trimmed down pop up on the hair.

It started off slow, I was casting every 10 mins at first to put a bit bait down, then every 20 mins to half an hour after that as I was having to wait for bites. Anyway the tip eventually went round with a nice bream, then again the next cast. A few casts later the rod came to life alarmingly. This was no bream, it had me in and out the snags then I pulled out of it. A few casts later the tip tapped a few times before dropping a little slack. I picked it up thinking bream but this had other ideas, heading for the snags again but I managed to turn it, phew ! After a bit of a run around it was in the net, my biggest carp so far. It went 17lb 5oz, not the biggest I know but I'm pleased as punch ! I didn't get a pic as it was a bit precarious plus I was on my own and didn't want to harm the fish.

I text my mate who fishes the place quite regular describing what it looked like and the weight. You've caught the mug was his reply ! That's obviously why it took my bait haha !

Thanks for reading.
