Watched his performance on MOTD and yet again he showed he is a bit special.
His movement and eye for goal is exceptional.

Egyptian and seeing that we had a lot of "influence" over there for a few hundred years he must be English.

Class finishing by him and always seems to be in the right place. But the marking of him yesterday was a joke. Surely the winger or wide midfielder should of been helping that defender out.

Can't fault him and has to be up there for player of the season.

However, one thing I have observed in nearly every game, is that the defending against him can be questioned. He is strong when shaping wide then niping inside, sometimes against one defender, or as some now double up on him, he just cuts inside between them.

One defender positioned correctly can do this, two defenders should never allow a player to get between them.

He is benefiting from this fashion nowadays of not showing attackers wide, do that against him and for all his talent, I don't think he would be getting as much joy as he does.

At some point Mick I think teams here have to hold onto these talents. Good for Liverpool and good for the league. Suarez they had to let go as he was embarrassing the club, Coutinho didn't have to go but wanted to, Salah........who knows.

I suppose when/if a player wants to go, then its best they do. Will see, looks like he is happy enough at present.

Got to admit the influx of most foreign players has not just helped teams but maybe younger players in their game it would be nice to see more from (dare i say it) the Muslm community, as sport has always brought everyone together in one way or another

Only the sort of money Barca or Real can continually throw at their teams without question I would think.

If he can reproduce this for a few more seasons then yes, why couldn't he have come to this form a few years earlier at Chelsea?

Just got my breath back from watching the Roma game, quite a night of football.

Probably the same reason why De Bruyne,Luakaku,Moses didn't perform when at Chelsea

Sadly our owner doesn't gift his managers the vital ingredient......time, the time needed to realise the full potential of a player. Instant succes is the number one priority and to that end he's been pretty successful in recent years achieving that.

The players I have listed were all let go by JM and straight away at their next club showed how good they were - coincidence?
Add to that Robben to Bayern,Bonucci to Juventus (6 Serie A titles 2 CL finals), Mata to United,Ibra Inter to Barca,Tiago to A.Madrid.

Luke Shaw -JMs whipping boy but could be good enough for Barca - go figure

I think JM was great for the game for the first few years but he does not develop or improve players.
As a tactician brilliant, coach not so good - ask Rashford

I have supported Chelsea for nearly sixty years for my sins, for fifty of them lived in the shadows of Stamford Bridge. Iíve got to know staff and a few ex players, but Iíll bow to your superior knowledge as in most things on this forum, have the last word, you usually do.
